FXstreet.com (Barcelona) - UK Mortgage Approvals declined to 47.64K last week, as opposed to a more encouraging 49.81Knumber in successful mortgage applications it had the previous week. Analysts were expectant to see the data at 49K, but instead the number slid by over 1K.

UOA Real Estate Investment Trust Posts Lower Pre-Tax Profit

Gross mortgage lending in June was up 15 per cent on May, rising from £11.4bn to £13.1bn, according to data from the Council of Mortgage Lenders. The June figures are also seven per cent up on June last year, when gross mortgage lending reached £12.2bn.
